We love Moraine Park Campground. We appreciate the upgrades. There do seem to be fewer sites that are secluded, but c’mon, it’s all beautiful. Folks in our larger party loved 228, 226. Liked 107. 85 full sun, near others, near restroom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moraine Park. The camp site was clean, great tent pad, plenty of space and a gorgeous view of Long’s Peak! Our kids loved exploring and watching wild life near our site. Our family enjoyed wading in the Big Thompson River, watching elk, deer and so many birds all with majestic peaks in the background. Our children (10 and 7) enjoyed the Moraine Park visitors center and were thrilled to be initiated as Jr. Park Rangers! We loved the beautiful hike out to Nymph and Dream Lake, even in the rain! Our last adventure was the amazing drive over Trail Ridge road, complete with a stop at the gift shop and cafe, a cool walk up to the lookout, and a moose siting on the way out! RMNP is one of our favorite places and we were so happy with our stay!

The camping spot was excellent including a little hike up to a ridge with great Mountain views in the “back yard.”

The staff at the Moraine Campground were fantastic! They kept everything clean and in good working order. The camp hosts were always about taking care of things and even asking some other campers to turn down their loud music that was playing fairly early in the morning. The rangers were very helpful and friendly. Even the lady selling firewood and ice was happy to help and very pleasant. The shuttle bus drivers that came to the campground even recommended good hiking trails. We also really enjoyed the evening ranger programs which were highly educational even for adults, not just geared for kids. But the kids attending them loved it too. The Moraine Campground is more out of the way from the most popular part of the park which is slightly more inconvenient than the Glacier Basin campground, but makes for a quieter campground. We really enjoyed out time!

We live in Boulder, so are fairly close to RMNP. Moraine Campground is our favorite. This time it was A-092. Perfect size for our Subaru and our towed 13' trailer. Would be harder to add another vehicle (crammed). Fairly level, we had to adjust a bit. There is a wee tent pad, but is is practically in the next site over (quite close), so not as recommended (huge trailer next door at the time was parked blocking the pad!). Nice view of Longs Peak from the campsite. Abutted a small rock outcropping, but people from other sites (kids) tromped around there a bit. Nice new picnic table. Had some wind, there, maybe due to the slight rise, and had to stow our awning a couple times. Directly across the road from a nice flush bathroom with a heater that had soap! There was an exterior dish sink, too. We were not in a tent, so not bothered by lights or noise or visitors to get water, etc.. AT&T cell service was pretty solid. Hiked to Cub Lake direct from the campground. Had one deer visitor and lots of baby ground squirrels were around.

Nice view on the lake, however we were in Junction City #15 and the power didn’t work. Thought maybe it was us but next morning on our way out we plugged in at a different spot and worked fine. Fortunately we had an inverter on our rig so did ok.

Everything went well. Campsites were too close together and parking the trailer was difficult. The location of the fire pit was too close to the road and too far from the picnic table. The restrooms were clean as was the camp site. Campsite had some trees which was appreciated. The people in the campground seemed too respect others and quit times.
