Great campground! We had deer, turkey and chipmunks in our camp daily and elk and a moose not far away. Everything in our campsite was in good condition and site was nice and flat.(ADA site)

We loved our early summer trip to RMNP. Camping in Moraine Park was a highlight. What a beautiful campground. Site A111 is a lovely site tucked back from the roadway. You do have to walk between two neighboring sites to access and can see a few campsites from A111. However, behind it a hillside where elk and deer frequent, as well as turkeys. If you can, do not let the turkeys roost overnight in the trees above the campsite (IYKYK!). Bear box is adjacent to the table and convenient. Bathrooms are a short 3 min walk (bonus is that you can't see or hear the bathrooms).

You don't always know what kind of site you're getting from the website. I inadvertently reserved a tent site instead of an RV site. The rangers there were very kind and helpful in changing our campsite. to one for an RV.

Overall stay was great. I think the toilets could be better, like the Glacier Basin Park.

Beautiful spot! We got to enjoy it for one day, then my husband had a medical emergency and we had to leave. We will definitely try for this spot again.

When we reserved our site we clicked on popup camper and it instead reserved a tent spot. We spoke to the rangers at gate and they nicely gave us an admin spot. It was lovely....however the next day both bathrooms were closed NO warning. No notification. No reason was given. The map said to find another bathroom near by. We and a few other senior folks were having to hike to the next bathroom when we were next to one for convenience. We spoke to the rangers and were given no direct reason and the rangers said "we can move you". NO we were already set up and to take down, move, setup again is not something seniors like doing. It's not just hook up the tow and go. It is a lot of work.
If was due to lack of lighting, because the lights did not work in the bathrooms that were suddenly closed. ...a sign on the door stating the lights were not working, we and others would be going with out own lights, that i am sure all of the people camping have.
Due to the hike to get to another bathroom, we cut our stay short and had some disappointed grandsons.
Why not close the bathrooms BEFORE the long weekend?
Why let us use them on Friday, and close them on Saturday?
Why could they have been closed on the Tuesday after the Memorial day Monday?
Why close both together? Why not leave one open while the other is "fixed"? Then switch them once the first one is fixed.
