Lovely campground, quiet, beautiful, bathrooms were clean, rangers and host were great, not crowded even though it was full, sites are well dispersed with lots of trees for privacy in between sites, will be back!

The campground and spot itself were amazing! The site was surrounded by young trees that are just tall enough to offer privacy from the neighbors. Not quite big enough for shade, but they make for some absolutely stunning views. In the evenings, and at night, we could hear the elk bugling and coyotes on the hunt, so if you are looking for wildlife, this is certainly a campsite for you!
However my friend and I felt unwelcome by the rangers, which unfortunately added a sour note to our stay. We did have two minor issues that were fixed as soon as the Rangers pointed them out, but afterwards we felt like children in timeout with how they kept an eye on us anytime we were in the campsite.

Really enjoyed our time staying here. It is all the best aspects of Colorado, sitting by the campfire as you hear elk bugling, just an out of the world experience. Facilities were clean, even with a full campground. There was privacy from other campers.

A big, busy campground. There are plenty of trees to make it feel more private. That said, the sites feel rather small. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms could do with some renovation. I arrived at night an didn't know where they were relative to my site. The campground map was a bit vague.
I am glad the park and this campground have recycling collection facilities. Many places in CO and UT do not. The river is beautiful and close by.

Amazing campground! Unbelievable night sky. Word to the wise: get two sites if you have 2 tents greater than two small 2-person tents. There are firm rules about tents needing to go on the pads so that we don’t kill of plants & greenery & some tent pads are very small. Will go back again soon!

Nice, high (~9000Feet) campground. Saw moose 3 days out of 4, twice AT campground. Sept 2024. Too bad many sites went unfilled after the weekend.

We had such a fantastic stay at Timber Creek Campground. The Hosts were incredible and a fantastic resource throughout our stay. Facilities were clean and it was great to have comfort stations to do our dishes. The views were spectacular and we had a moose and her baby visit the campground. We enjoyed exploring the West Side of the park with beautiful hikes in close proximity of the campground. We will definitely be back.
