There is always firewood until 7 pm you can buy, and ice until the last one sells out which is much earlier on hot days. The firewood is $10 a bundle, but is not much more affordable at markets in nearby towns - 2 for $12 at the market in Eagle. There are flush toilets in the middle of the campground, pit toilets near the amphitheater. Bear boxes are communal, there is usually one for every three sites-ish. Be thoughtful about your food items that will need to be stored. There are also foxes that will get into your things.

Beautiful campsite. Serene. Great views of the stars, the trees, and the mountains. Close to Grand Lake, which has plenty of amenities. The bathrooms are small, but there are flush toilets and running water, as well as a communal sink to wash dishes and other items. There are shared bear lockers to keep your food/toiletries.
Elk and moose walked through our site during our stay. So amazing!

Camp sites are tiny and right on top of each other. Pay close attention to the size listed for tent pads and length of parking spur. Our first site was okay but we ended up cancelling the site for our second week because the parking spur was shorter than our pickup and the tent pad was smaller than our tent and literally 8 feet from the tent pad in the next site! Beautiful scenery but need more space. Also, would be nice to cut the grass/trees growing up under and around the picnic tables.

Expectedly the park is was quite crowded. Campground was nice though. Clean. Well manicured. Pretty spot. Little close to 34 for me but I plan on going back all the same. Hopefully I see some more wildlife on the next visit!

Love this campground. It’s my second year camping here and it’s always beautiful and well kept. Park rangers are nice and so are the people selling firewood. Love this particular campground site for the views of elk and the occasional moose. Stars are amazing at nice when it’s clear. There were a lot of mosquitoes so be ready for that.

This is a pretty campground with nice spacing between most of the sites. It's also a favorite spot of an elk herd that comes by in the morning and late evening. A lot of the area is still recovering from the large wildfire a few years ago, but Lone Pine Lake is a lovely hike!

We camped among a cluster of sites and it was a bit crowded. No shade. Other than that, it was a great campground. The rangers checked on everyone and made sure we had everything and gave good advice.
