Campsites are pretty close to each other which was the only real negative. No service but tons of wildlife in the campsite. Saw heards of elk every morning across the river, some making their way into the campsite itself. Theres a momma moose and a calf that was visible most of the time too. Highly recommend staying here

Well maintained campground with beautiful views (mountains by day and stars at night) and friendly staff. Bathrooms are well maintained and just a short walk away. The west side of RMNP is much more of the laid back experience I was looking for.

Site #89 at the far corner which you will pass 3 tents on your right which makes it hard to bring all your stuff to your tent. Just be aware of that! The rest are okay

Minimal shade but great vistas of the surrounding mountains. Great location to explore other parts of the park, and on the less-crowded western side of the park. During my visit there were numerous elk bugling and that made the stay exceptional. Sites are somewhat expensive but have water and trash service, plus flush toilets. I enjoyed campfires every night in the provided fire ring. A great stay.

Stayed two nights here of our three total days in Rocky Mountain. We were on our honeymoon! Perfectly suitable, enough space for our camper van that we rented. We had nice fires and could hear elk bugling from our site. Good star gazing too! No showers or laundry services, but if you ask at the check in desk they will provide info on where to go. Also they sold out of wood, so we had to go into Estes Park to grab some, so no biggie. Wonderful time in the park! Loved every minute and we sincerely love our National Parks :)

The park was beautiful especially since I caught the fall colors!
The interpretive ranger at the west end Old Homesteads was wonderful.
