Nice spot and calm. The only thing is that there is no much shade.

Love the campgrounds. Close to Grand Lake and in a beautiful valley. Love the access to Colorado River. Take the hike to LuLu City! Drive into Grandlake for dinner at SageBrush BBQ and Grill. The trout was fantastic

Check-in was easy. Ranger explained everything upon arrival.
Bathrooms had running water and flushable toilets. Outside the bathroom there is dish sink with faucet. Water available at spigots around the campground. Definitely bring a canopy for shade.
Quiet campground with good access to many hiking trails! Great views as your surrounded by mountains.

Clean site, really nice views, beautiful drive in. Only 4 stars because it’s close to a main road but it was still worth staying

From the informative and welcoming check-in to the serene location. This campground should be experienced. Quieter than the east side of the park but still with great hikes and beautiful views. The new growth on the trees gives most sites a bit of privacy. Site 36; I found it ideal size for car camping, a nice location to facilities and the Colorado River. Many trails are less than 10 minutes away.

Very nice campground (with real bathrooms!), but the campsites could use a little more privacy. Beautiful views. Would recommend bringing a canopy for shade.

Loved this spot! Less crowded than the eastern side of the park for sure. Check in was smooth. Bathrooms were a little dated but clean. SItes were pretty open with minimal privacy but the campground wasn't completely booked on a weekend in August so we really appreciated that.

This was a great campground! Quiet, lots of trees separating the sites, and people were respectful and clearly there to enjoy nature. Wild raspberries everywhere, with an amazing little river within an easy walk from our site. We saw moose and elk without hardly needing to go anywhere! Excellent value, with a dump station, firewood available for sale, and bear-proof dumpsters

My campground was awesome. They provide a platform to place your tent on but it is gravel so you will want to bring padding to put under your sleeping bags. My loop did not have a bathroom however is was nice because it was not noisy and the loop over had a bathroom. I 100% recommend going to Alpine Visitor Center and checking out the view.
