Not a bad experience. First time staying here. The campground was clean, bathrooms were clean, staff were great as usual. Beautiful views.

We camped out three nights at the Timber Creek Campground and it was a great area surrounded by mountains. Our camp site was near the restrooms. The views of the full moon were excellent. This camp site gave us easy access to the Grand Lake area and all of RMNP.

The reason for the low rating is that a group of campers arrived after quiet hour and were super loud (shouting, cursing, laughing) with absolutely no regard for other campers. If it's the campground host's job to address this behavior, they didn't do it. I am quite reluctant to approach loud people, but I did, and they agreed to quiet down (it took them a while, but finally they did.) Otherwise, the campground experience was positive. The ranger at the entrance was super informative. The view of the mountains all around was lovely. Facilities functioned (bathrooms, dishwashing sink.) I just cannot stress enough that rowdy neighbors are a main detractor for car camping, and the fact that this happened with no intervention from the host was disappointing.

Great spot, very clean bathrooms. Only downside is some fairly young/small trees in the campground, so not much natural shade. It'll be perfect in 20 years haha

We were surprised at how quiet the campground was after dark.

There is no restroom in D loop. The closest restroom is in C loop, however; the lady room was out of service.

The seclusion and wildlife experiences were truly amazing at this sprawling campground. We also figured out we could swim/cool off in the Colorado River, while camping there. Great access to the entire park too, and Grand Lake is a great town to spend some time in!

Great camp site, the rangers at the campground were friendly and helpful. Lots of children here so it got a little bit loud but they were usually quiet during quiet hours. Definitely a family friendly place. Bathrooms are clean as well.

Bathroom seem a little bit trashed. Everything else seemed pretty good. Pretty friendly folks that were running the campground. Especially the older woman driving around on the golf cart checking occupancy.

Busy campground due to location, but Timber creek is a great option to be in the park for convenience. We had Moose walk through our campsite every day which surprised us quite a bit!
Great jumping spot in the park on the "quiet side"!
