The campsite, the elk and deer in the camp; the naturalist programs; the availability of firewood and ice; the proximity to several trails. It was all great.

campground was nice. lots of trees between sites for privacy. I would really like it if they didn't use
such bright lights outside the bathroom. it interferes with the star gazing, which was amazing.

Bathrooms for loops c & d haven’t been updated for at least 20 plus years. And not painted for at least 10 years. Would be nice.
Understand financial constraints at this time but good to put on list of needs.

All the campgrounds in RMNP are nice. One piece of info you may need to know about Timber Creek is the parking pads might be smaller even though they allow 2 vehicles (a small trailer counts as a vehicle.) You might need to use overflow parking for the second one.
We had site A17 and were able to angle our small popup so we could fit both it and our SUV but any larger we would have needed to use the overflow parking

This is the best spot on the campground, we had a deer literally come sniff our tent and hang out around the area about an hour after we set up. It's also got wonderful views of the mountains!

We had an amazing time during our visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. The scenery was breathtaking, and we loved exploring the trails and spotting so much wildlife. It was a perfect opportunity to truly connect with nature.
However, one thing that stood out—and not in a good way—was how often the sounds of nature were disrupted. Some hikers were playing music out loud instead of using headphones, which really took away from the peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, the noise from motorcyclists driving through the park was jarring and felt out of place in such a serene environment.
Despite these interruptions, the park itself is stunning and absolutely worth visiting. I just hope visitors can be more mindful of preserving the natural soundscape in the future.
