We loved our site. We loved the wonderful 3 mornings that we got some great kayaking in. We loved the views. We loved taking our dogs to the water. Why not 5 stars? On 2 different occasions, we had loose dogs rush us as we were walking our leashed dogs. The one incident, nothing was done because the dog didn't make it onto the road before the owner grabbed it by the collar. The other incident, we were told that dogs out on the road are taken very seriously and the owners would be warned. The camp host was always out and about; on her bike, on her go cart & walking. Are we really supposed to believe that no one else had these dogs come after them when they walked past the two different sites? Because we didn't want to take the chance of the dogs still being unleashed, we walked thru the brush to walk our dogs. We had been told that probably there were no snakes but there were ticks. Ticks or dogs rushing at you? Great choice.

There was a lady with a golden retriever that was a complete menace. Her dog almost attacked our 5 year old. This same lady went to the camp host and complained about our (well behaved) dog and the camp host threatened us with legal action (whatever that means). The same camp host came by two to three times a day to threaten me and my wife. The camp ground was nice but dealing with the lady in D13 campsite, her dog, and the completely over the top camp host that never even asked what happened but took the side of some lady with a dog she could not control made this trip a trauma filled week that will never happen again for us. Our 5 year old cried the entire night after the incident with the golden retriever and now is afraid of dogs. The camp host should be fired for her lack of unbiased investigation into a situation that ruined our vacation that we wasted vacation days on from work. Overall 1/10 experience and the 1 is for the reservoir that we had to sit at every day so we didn't get yelled at by a camp host or bitten by a crazed dog.

The campground was beautiful and super clean. Overall it was an amazing experience, however, one of the camp hosts was extremely rude to us.

I car camp…didn’t find out until I got there (after staff was gone for the day) that this is a walkout campsite. Photos are misleading. I’m currently looking for a different campground. This was incredibly disappointing.

Love this place, been camping here for 35 years. Going downhill in regards to maintenance. Was disgusted by the overall facilities and door handles on the inside of the men's bathroom, obviously not cleaned for some time. Watched the cleaning crew clean today and all they did was fill a 5 gallon bucket, dump it on the floor and scrub the floor. Never saw any bathroom cleaner enter the bathrooms. Are the showers ever going to reopen?
