Plenty of shade in the evenings & close to amphitheater, reservoir and restroom. There really wasn’t a great spot to setup camp except next to the fire pit so we weren’t able to cook unless it wasn’t windy, which wasn’t much of the time we were there. And the main dump was a little walk away, nothing crazy but with toddlers it was difficult to make it there.

Such a beautiful spot!! We utilized a tent walk in site. We had access right to the reservoir. Bathrooms were clean. Quiet.

We did not stay here. We made the reservation and ended up cancelling not 5 minutes later because we were going a different route. They kept my money and no refund was offered.

if you're in the area and looking for a campground near the Black Canyon at Gunnison National Park, well then this is it for you . Especially loop D cuz it's all electric hookups and neighbors are well spaced not crowding you at all and for the flush toilet restrooms and for peace and quiet respected by all campers who came while I was there. Add to all this, if you're a senior an carry the Golden Age govt pass, it's even better at 50% off standard daily RATE.

A hidden gem. Fantastic staff including the Rangers and camp host. The campground was clean with large sites and concrete pads. The visitors center was also excellent with friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable Rangers
