Me and three friends camped here on 10/3. We arrived about 15 minutes before sunset (after an 11 hour drive), so we were on a mission to get tents set up and dinner going. The individual campsites are perfectly sized. The picnic tables and fire pits were well cared for. We had a light rain for about half the night, but the surface allowed for the water to drain so we didn’t wake up to a muddy mess. Not many people around the first week of October, so it was perfect!

We were there two whole days and went for color leave drives. The Uncompaghre Natl Forest was awesome as was the Elk Creek Loop including Keebler pass and Crested Butte. Couldn't have been more beautiful. Took over 200 pictures! This campsite was a good site to go each way from. Very centrally located.

We were only passing through one night, but the location was beautiful, facilities were very clean (and stocked), and it was great camping experience.

We stayed in Loop D with electric hookups, the site was very clean including the bathroom (really really clean). Campground was quite and enjoyable. We had solid Verizon cell service the entire 4 day stay. Appreciate the dump station when leaving. Centrally located to the Black Canyon and Crested Butte areas.

Nice campsite with a great view of the lake. No real shade, which wasn’t as much of an issue in the fall, but in the summer it would probably be pretty hot.

The campground was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. Our campsite was at the top of the hill so we had a great view of the entire campground and the reservoir. It was very close to Gunnison and Crested Butte. It's definitely a great campground for boating and fishing.
