Amazing!!

The road coming in is not for the feint of car, my poor Subaru Impreza got beached on a patch of snow/ice and we had to abandon the car and hike up. The second you see snow or ice and you don't have at least 7 inches of ground clearance you should turn around because it will only get worse, don't worry there is parking at the bottom of the dirt road!
Overall, we had an amazing time and had signal the entire time, so we felt safe! There is only a small wall mounted space heater upstairs and you need to bring your own blankets which for a 2-mile hike MAX it's not bad, during the summer it'll only be a mile due to the road being in good shape. Totally worth doing again!

I've been lucky enough to go to the fire tower 2 years in a row and it's always wonderful. This year there were a few changes: no pillows, no wool blankets, and **no additional space heaters**. It was a cold night with no less than 9 storms that blew through the entire night (kind of a vibe but also freezing). Highly recommend bringing up a space heater you don't mind leaving behind as a donation (we would have had we known).

Incredible opportunity to spend the day and evening surrounded by nature. Huge thanks for the beautiful opportunity of a lifetime to stay in the fire lookout. Directions in reservation were clear and easy to follow. Huge thank you
