What Guests Are Saying
Mogote is praised for its clean, spacious campsites and well-maintained bathrooms, with a welcoming and attentive camp host, Sam. The beautiful river and serene forest setting enhance the camping experience, making it a favorite for many visitors. However, numerous reviews note a significant mosquito problem and mention that entrance road conditions could be improved, alongside the need for some facilities to be updated.

A beautiful campground! Water was close by, and the pit toilets were very clean and well stocked with TP, hand sanitizer, and air fresheners. We truly enjoyed our stay of several days at Mogote.

Very nice campground. Our spot was right on the river. Took train ride to Chama. That was very nice & worth the price.

Great location and most of the other guests were friendly and neighborly. The host was also nice and kept the campgrounds clean and pristine. Love this area. It is beautiful and the river is a great place to hang out and fish.

Beautiful site, but the total lack of cell coverage can be an issue when combined with the somewhat confusing layout. The river is beautiful, clean, and easy to reach.

This area was beautiful to camp at. I
What I will say expect lots of rain and prepare for quick weather change, like sunny to dark clouds of rain and thunder. We stayed at the lower part of the campground to be closer to the river. The only problem was that RVs sometimes too big for their camp site. The fishing was awesome, and no you don't need all the fly fishing accessories to catch one. I used a simple spinner to catch dinner. The camp site it self was clean and ready to go. There is plenty of downed trees for firewood. Plenty of tarps or rain gear will keep you dry dry most of the time. We tent camp so no worry about not fitting in. Nothing fancy about the restrooms, cause its the basic standard.drinkig water was delightful and .came from a well, so it was very cool.
