Our party stayed at sites 4 and 5 over two days. Plenty of shade and would stay at either 4, 5 or 6 next time as they were perfect for tent camping. Jefferson Lake is just a few miles up the road and a great place for hiking or SUP. Host was at site 7, but did not see them at all, which is fine by us. Sites were clean, there was plenty of firewood for purchase and the pit toilets were in good order. Highly recommended.

Nice campground in a great location. Easy access to the Colorado trail. Sites are a little close together and fire pits are a good distance away from camper parking spots. 10-minute drive to Jefferson Lake.

Lovely campground! Beautiful area with lots of trees.
FYI- if you want to hike around Jefferson Lake it is not a nice leisurely stroll around a lake. We learned the hard way. The path was hard to find for most of it and we ended up hiking on the beach (if you can call large rocks and boulders a beach). Still, it was beautiful and we are very happy we did it. But maybe don’t take our route.😉

Other than Jefferson Lake still being frozen over, it was a perfect mid-week camping/fishing trip. Great campground and host.

Campground and facilities were clean, quiet, and beautiful. Camp host was super friendly and readily available. Plenty of hiking to do with the CT and Jefferson Lake so close, and lots of ponds and rivers for fishing--we didn't have to drive to any of it, it's all within half a mile or so! Jefferson also has a cute little town area right outside the camping road for basic supplies, good food and coffee.
