What Guests Are Saying
Aspen campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites, cleanliness, and proximity to the Colorado Trail and Jefferson Lake, making it ideal for outdoor activities. Campers appreciate the spaciousness and privacy of the sites, as well as the friendly hosts. However, some guests noted issues with restroom cleanliness and a lack of bear boxes, along with occasional disturbances from neighbors. Overall, it is considered a lovely spot for camping with great amenities and access to nature.

Site was clean and we'll maintained. Bathrooms were also clean and we'll stocked including hand sanitizer. Site was ready for us and camp just was available for questions and had wood for our fire. Beautiful location!

I thought the campsite was in Aspen. They don't give you an address or area where the campground is and didn't realize until after I booked it that it was nowhere near Aspen. They also don't offer a customer service number or way to contact in case of issue. I paid for a site I never used.

Lovely small (12 sites) campground. Camp Host (Kevin, his wife was away) greeted us on arrival and was wonderful. He suggested we ask if we needed anything as he kept some camp items on-hand. Every site was well kept. The bathrooms were kept clean even with all the mud tracked in due to the rain. We had two curious moose visit our camp. We had a lovely day hiking around Jefferson Lake.

The campground was beautiful and small. The outhouse was one of the cleanest I have ever seen.

Camsite was quiet, very clean (restrooms were spotless and amazingly smelled....nice????!) the park is beautiful, worth a stop for hiking whether or not you camp. Nothing bad to say, we love our stays at the quieter national parks!

Nice camp ground. Great flat and soft spot for a tent. Good distance from neighbors for a drive in place. They have water on site. We took a day trip to Fairplay and the South Park City Museum. Also hiked straight from the campground. Awesome spots for families! Only downside (or maybe upside!) is no cell service (Verizon)

Love hiking around the lake (good swimming on the far end). Take the CO trail down to Jefferson Creek and hike along the Jefferson trail. We had moose in the campground every day. I like the relaxed, shill vibe of Aspen. Hosts (who are now in the campground) are very nice and keep everything (pit toilets!) very clean. Only suggestion is that the hosts try to minimize the use of their generator. Engine throbbing makes it hard to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Very clean bathrooms and spacious sites. Water pump works great. Easy access to walk to the ponds in the area and a nice meadow adjacent to the campground. Sites have a good combo of shade and sun. No tent pads
