What Guests Are Saying
Buffalo Springs campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, with spacious sites that provide privacy and are conveniently located near hiking and fishing opportunities. Many visitors appreciated the clean facilities and helpful campground hosts, although some noted issues with the reservation process and maintenance of the bathrooms. Despite minor drawbacks, such as road noise and the need for better water access, overall experiences at the campground were positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

What a great place. Lots of shade and open spaces. Older facilities but it was clean and we'll maintained. We had a great time here!

This was the worst camping experience I’ve ever had. Campground host is incredibly rude and targeted us. He used nasty language and was incredibly sexist. Don’t come here if you have dogs, he approached our dogs and then complained that they barked when a strange man walked up to them. His own dogs were howling frequently, off leash and walking in the street. Everyday he came by our site multiple times and yelled at us. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Will never stay here again.

Host and site was great. Took the road going next to the site (431/76) further and hiked a short distance on the Buffalo Peaks and Salt Creek Trail Loop. Water didn't work at the time and T-Mobile service was available on the Northern side of the campground.

We stayed at Buffalo Springs C.G. during the middle of the week and almost had the place to ourselves. There are lots of trees which makes for a very peaceful stay. The campground is very well maintained!

Bob the camp host is awesome at his job. Grounds never looked so good!!! Not many go the extra mile to have a great place to camp, but Bob does. We come back due to Bob knowing
Buffalo Springs Campground is well attended.
Things to do are Rich Creek Trail at Wesson Pass, Lake Antero, the town of Fairplay. By the way
in Fairplay at Western Inn you can dump for $10 CASH only and showers are $5 and water is $5
cash only!!! Very nice people old school enviroment right next to the dollar store.

Nice big sites and space. Road noise from 285 was surprisingly louder than expected. Water pump wasn't working.
