What Guests Are Saying

Happy Meadows is a charming and well-maintained campground on the South Platte River, praised for its friendly camp host, Paul, who provides excellent service and local recommendations. Guests appreciate the clean facilities, including immaculate bathrooms, and the serene atmosphere perfect for fishing and tubing. Though some noted traffic noise from the nearby road and occasional mosquitoes, the overall experience is highly positive, making it a favored yearly destination for many.

We arrived slightly early but was warmly welcomed by the camp host. We enjoyed camp site #7. We had a nice river access and shadey area to set up chairs. Very clean and comfortable.

Our campground host on our day of departure informed us we could visit 11mile canyon for free. He gave us a “voucher” to get in. Very nice campground host.

It was so pretty and the river was right next to our site. The guy who works there is so nice. Such a cute little spot with only like 8 spots. It was amazing.

I love this little campground. If I had another crack at it I wouldn’t pick site #1 as it’s lacking a bit in space and shade, but we had a wonderful time. It’s pretty and the hosts thought of everything.
