What Guests Are Saying

Horseshoe Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, small size, and quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. Many enjoyed the nearby hiking trails and found their camping experiences overall positive, despite some issues with mosquitoes and the occasional noisy neighbor. However, the absence of camp hosts during peak times raised concerns about site reservations and cleanliness of facilities.

The Limbar trail is not to be missed. It’s an easy trek from Denver, and the FairPlay area has some of the most beautiful hiking in Colorado and it’s very close to a number of 14’rs

This is a nice isolated campground with decent facilities. Its a great place to base out of if hiking or climbing some of the 14ers in the area.

My experience at this campground was poor because the pump for the water for the entire campground was broken. We had to go to the next campground, not an easy or short drive, and who carries extra plastic gallon jugs for these occasions? I didn't think the host was particularly helpful in our case.

Good location, decent sites. We had a good time despite the rain. There are a bunch of trails right from the campground which was really nice

Secluded enough to feel disconnected, yet close enough to run into town, this camp ground is one of our family's favorites.
