Jefferson Creek is the perfect setting for a quite camping time with your family. The campsites are well cared for and the hosts are superb at caring for the area and the campers. From the moment we arrived to when we left, we had a great experience which is why this is a favorite family camping spot. I used to come here as a kid, and now it means so much camping here with my own children and exploring with them in the same places I once did. I am afraid to say how wonderful it is so it does not become a hot spot :) --but we will return each year. Thank you for such a great time.

It's a great campground but you usually don't expect 8" of snow during your first camping trip of the season. It melted quickly and the rest of the trip was fine but it put a bit of a damper on things at first. Also, we happened to go shortly after the USFS road was graded, so once you got onto USFS land, the road was uncharacteristically smooth. The straight stretch between the pavement and the USFS roads is still a washboard nightmare. 20 MPH max unless you want to rattle your fillings loose. And from our experience, it's pretty rare that the USFS road is as smooth as we found it, so be aware. The CG itself is fine, but you need to be prepared for the roads in.
