We've been camping here for over 15 years and have always had a good time. There is easy access to the Colorado Trail and Kenosha Pass. Jefferson Lake is fun for a variety of activities.

Great campsites, very clean, toilets were clean. Saw moose and caught fish up at the lake. Colors were fantastic as well.

I have been going to Jefferson Creek campground since 2012 and it is my favorite CO state campground. I love kayaking and fishing on Jefferson Lake.

The campground is always great. The camp hosts take great care of the amenities. It was also great to have a conversation with the professor about fishing the creeks and waters around the park. It was another fantastic trip to the camp!

From US Highway 285 at Jefferson, Colorado, take County Road 35 north to County Road 37 and turn right. Pay the user fee at Jefferson Lake Recreation Area entrance station and continue on the road to the campground.

Alert for Reservation Holders: There is a one-time fee of $11.00 to enter Jefferson Lake Recreation Area in which your campground is located. You will only have to pay this fee once for the duration of your stay.

Please note it is difficult to access Jefferson Lake Recreation Area during the winter months; the roads to this site are not maintained for snow throughout the winter. County Road 37 is an unpaved gravel surface road that leads to the entrance of the area. |
