We thoroughly enjoyed our camping experience at Jefferson Creek. The hosts (Cliff and Alice) were great! We loved hearing the river by the campground. The lake was closed but we hiked up to it. It was lovely as always.

Jefferson Creek Campground provided for the perfect fall campout. The campground host, who was actually the Aspen campground host, who was filling in for the Jefferson Creek hosts who had to leave early, was superb. She was actively checking on campground residents and provided help with everything from firewood to trail specifics. The nearby hikes are absolutely breathtaking, with offerings ranging from the Colorado Trail to the West Jefferson Trail. The facilities were beautiful, nestled in the gorgeous lodgepole pines and offered all things needed for a comfortable stay.

Road leading into park is very rough. Once inside park gravel roads are much better. Great quiet location. Camp host was very helpful and friendly.

Love this campground! It’s small, out of the way, and never busy. We love camping so close to Jefferson Lake which is also never crowded and great for paddle boarding. The sites are well spaced for some privacy and the facilities are always clean. Will be back many times next summer!
