The rest rooms were clean, and we weren't too far away from the lake. The site host family was very kind. A fire was prepped for us when we arrived!

Loved Lodgepole campground! The sites were large, big enough that we easily parked our small travel trailer and tow vehicle and still had room to set up a large Clam shelter over the picnic table. The hosts kept the site immaculate. Our site had just enough shade from the trees, and the entire campground was very quiet after dark. Jefferson Lake just up the road was stunning, and we enjoyed a day drive to Breckenridge over Boreas Pass. We’ll be back someday!

We stayed at Lodgepole #33 it is a nice site. However it rained hard our second night and the area around the fire pit turned into a huge mud puddle. Luckily we were not in #32. The drainage from the whole campground was flowing through it and it would have sucked.

Misinformation on reservation website. Only allows weekday reservations and states that weekends are walk up sites. All sites were already reserved for all weekends upon arrival. 2 days travel each way for 4 days at campground

I had a wonderful stay here. The campground host was very friendly, and the toilets were clean and some of the least smelly I've been too.
When I arrived I did opt to change spots from my reserved one (#27) to another open one (#26 I believe) across the road with more shade. As someone else commented the inner circle campsites seem closer, but without being full I greatly enjoyed my spot there and felt I had plenty of privacy. From walking around the loop several times I'd say the outer loop campsites on the west side probably have the most shade. It's hard to tell from the map which side of the road campsites are on, and they don't follow a general rule like even numbers on the inside and odd on the outside. The campsites on the west end on the inner loop definitely have more visibility to each other than on the east end. There is a toilet on the east end on the outer loop, as well as one in the middle, again on the outer loop.
The campground had great access to the West Jefferson Trail, which leaves directly from the west end of the loop, and connects nicely with the Colorado Trail in either direction. Altogether I really enjoyed my stay!
