About Lodgepole (Jefferson Lake, Fairplay Colorado)

Lodgepole Campground is a creekside destination with incredible Colorado mountain views. The campground is located 3 mi south of Jefferson Lake, one of the highest elevation lakes around, capping 10.7 ft elevation and bordered by steep 12 ft peaks. Fishing in both the creek and lake offer promising catches of trout. Another noteworthy aspect of the campground is its access to the Colorado Trail.

The camp host was very friendly and helpful; the best one we've ever had at any campground! We've camped at Lodgepole for years and like it. The space between the sites is nice, and the drive to the lake is not long. We enjoy seeing the moose!

We love this area but the particular site (16) that we stayed at was on a slope and hard to navigate for tent camping!

The hosts were helpful and friendly. The campsite was clean. The bath room was very clean as well. Camping grounds are well taken care of.

Campsite was easy to get to and the sites were clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were also very clean! Not every site is very secluded or private, but they are well spread out. The lake nearby is also a great relatively easy hike with littles or for just hanging out for a few hours. Would absolutely come back here again!
