We have been camping at Spillway for nearly a decade now. It is our favorite place to camp in CO. Fishing was great and our site was incredible. We moved to a new site for the first time in 8 years and loved the privacy and space it provided. Camp hosts were also excellent.

Great campsite - clean, level with both shade and sunshine. Reservations were easy and the campground host was very nice. Only advice is that the table tops are pretty worn out.....bring a table cloth. Top attaction is the large trout in the river.....fishing was best early in the morning and after 6pm.

I traveled with three other friends to Eleven Mile Canyon Spillway campground on our way back from visiting the coast in California. It was a wonderful trip and one of my favorite parts was this campground. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only real inconvenience was the bathrooms (they smell absolutely horrid) but I'm not sure there's much you can do about that. There's a nice hiking trail not too far from the campground that has amazing views of the spillway. Overall we loved camping here for the last 3 days of our trip. The whole surrounding area and the town of Lake George are just so beautiful. Eleven Mile canyon is definitely worth the trip. Just make sure your car is in good shape because the roads to the campground are pretty bumpy.

We had an amazing time here. We arrived to a clean campsite, we were greeted by the camp host within a couple hours of our arrival. The other campers around us were friendly. The bathrooms, which features a vault toilet (think outhouse/port-a-potty) were surprisingly clean. Overall we had a great time and plan on returning this summer.
