The setting is breathtaking, nestled in a narrow valley between rock cliffs, with a wide creek flowing through. The crown jewels of the campground are the walk-in tent sites across the creek, perched between the creek and the cliff.
The sites in the main loop vary in size and shade, and most are generously spaced. The vault toilets were clean, and the water from the hand pump looked a little rusty, but tasted fine.

We stumbled across this campground a month ago and loved it so this time booked our favorite site #14 by the river where we could still back in and use our roof top tent! They have many beautiful walk in tent sites by the river as well. Beautiful area!

Very loud for such a small campground. A lot of children, but it quoted down at 9.

Neat campground in beautiful setting BUT they failed to *hold* my reservation. I showed up and found out that the Campground Host had told another camper that they could have my spot that I reserved and paid for ahead of time online. When I went to get a resolution from the Campground Host, they were nowhere to be found. Another camper told me that the host and "left for the nigh" (it was only 6PM at the time). So, I ended up having to squat on an open campsite.
All it would have taken is for them to do their job and the Reserved placard to the post at my site. But, they failed to do that.

Very quiet during the time we were there, Tuesday-Thursday. Beautiful area. State wide FIRE Ban , but one campsite started a fire in fire ring , and then proceeded to leave it unattended. The camper at the next site left and went back to Denver because of their actions and attitude. Campground host was not there to mediate the situation.
