Turquoise lake is beautiful, and the campground is clean, including the bathrooms, quiet, and the sites are well maintained.

My dog and I stayed here while hiking in the area. It was clean and quiet. The lake was great to jump into after a day of hiking and the beach was beautiful. I would stay here again.

Really nice lake for kayaking. We didn't have a lakeside site and had to carrying our kayak further than anticipated so be prepared for that if you can't snag a lakeside site. Toilets were pretty bad, some nearly full. Campground was quiet and lots of trees. Not much in the way of road biking since it's a small loop and the main road is curvy with no shoulder, so we didn't use the bikes. There is a trail going around the lake and one trail at the hatchery rated as "easy" but those were the only two trail options we found nearby with an "easy" rating. Pretty drive around the lake with some scenic overlooks. Leadville is a bit of a rundown town and most everything closed by 7 pm so don't rely too heavily on it for supplies. The lake is super nice though and the smell of pine in the morning is refreshing!
