The campground was lovely - we were at site 39 and it felt very secluded. We could easily walk to Turquoise Lake, which really is a beautiful lake. The facilities were as clean as campground bathrooms can be, which was nice. There was no access to water, but the campsite tells you that beforehand so we knew to bring enough water. My only complaint is that there was a wedding ceremony and reception at one of the sites close to us. At first it seemed sweet, but the music was very loud (they had giant speakers) and took away from the serenity of the camping experience. They were respectful enough to quiet down by 10pm, so that's good. Overall, I would highly recommend this campground.

Our camp host was super nice and informative about the native bear, moose and the lake patrol checking for life jackets, whistle and phone number written on paddle boards. Opps, I thought I was writing a review Little Mattie at reudi. (My bad)

The campsite was nice and the lake was just a short walk downhill. The views from the beach were amazing. The only negative was that despite having a reservation, someone was set up at our site when we arrived. Both parties looked for the campsite host and for several hours they were not to be found (indicated by a sign on the camper). We were frustrated as we couldn't get into our site and the other party was upset since he had already set up and had to take down. A camp host being available to address concerns would have been helpful. In fact, the sign saying they were unavailable never moved the whole time we stayed and we never saw them. Aside from that, we had a great experience and enjoyed the beautiful scenery at Turquoise Lake.

Was visiting to do a fourteener in Leadville. Really impressed with this campground. Clean and simple. Turquoise lake was also a short walk and just beautiful. Would stay again no problem.
