What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained sites, and a private, quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. Many appreciated the clean facilities and helpful camp host, Rick, who enhances the experience. While some sites may be smaller than advertised and noise from nearby roads and dispersed campers can be an issue, the overall beauty and accessibility to trails and nearby lakes make it a worthwhile destination.

The camp hosts were very friendly and super helpful. We had plans to summit Mt Elbert and they were able to give us some really great tips and advice which we were very thankful for! The sites were well maintained; the campground was safe and the facilities were the freshest I’ve ever experienced! We visited Twin Lakes, Leadville and Independence Pass and enjoyed all the beautiful views!

The campground is mostly suitable for smaller in length rvs or tents. Many sites are extremely unlevel. We were not able to get our trailer level because of the steep drop. The camp manager is excellent. Some sites are mostly in trees, others have some exposure to sun. We were able to get good sun for our solar. Trails go through the campground and are good for dogs.

We stayed in loop A. We loved the extra space it provided, trees to hang the hammock in. The space was easy to back into. We walked all the loops. Not as many were for longer setups but we found a few that we could fit in that also has lake views.

Dan and Brenda were perfect hosts for our stay. Dan was able to extend our stay for 3 more days in a very nice location with an outstanding view. The toilet facilities were very clean and the same is said for the campsite. We look forward to camping here again!

Beautiful campground with many sites with views of the lakes. The campground host was the best we've ever had! He was friendly, helpful, and took great care of the whole area. He deserves a raise and a lot of praise!
