What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained sites, and a private, quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. Many appreciated the clean facilities and helpful camp host, Rick, who enhances the experience. While some sites may be smaller than advertised and noise from nearby roads and dispersed campers can be an issue, the overall beauty and accessibility to trails and nearby lakes make it a worthwhile destination.

Clean bathrooms and good location. But beware that a rooftop tent is now considered equivalent to an RV or trailer at this campground. You can’t use your rooftop tent at a tent only site or at a site you are sharing with friends who have a trailer. But you could park your vehicle at those sites and pitch a tent on the ground. Makes no sense. The camp hosts were lovely and were just enforcing these rules so not their fault.

Outhouse was under renovation/repairs, but otherwise this was a great campsite. This is high elevation campground. Bears in the area. Excellent hiking trails all around the area and views to soak in. There are a lot of people that come through/stay in this area (this campground, nearby campgrounds and dispersed campers), so beware that it can be hard to get away from the crowd. Hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Site A002 had a vent from the bathroom that would waft into my campsite. It wasn't constantly, but way too frequent. Had I known, I would have chosen a different site - it was pretty gross smell

This campground was kept exceptional clean by hosts. Everything was very enjoyable. Fishing was good and close to the campground. It was fun to go into Leadville and eat at a couple of the local restaurants. Casa Sanchez had excellent food and service! I would highly recommend this restaurant. We had an excellent breakfast at the restaurant in the Delaware Hotel!

First thing I noticed was the toilets. Clean and pleasant odor. Next the grounds were also clean and ready for campers. The pines and view were great where I was B001 Loop B. Will definately come again.

Apparently the water system was under repair so there was no water taps at the campground. We had to bring all the water with us for cooking and putting out our campfire. We only found out the day before we left. Loop was quiet and pretty.

Had a great stay with our 13' Scamp RV. Level sites, very clean bathrooms! No water right now, the system is being worked on. Make sure you bring lots of water. Dan was an awesome camp host! Be aware this is a family friendly campground, so it may not be for you if you don't want to see and hear kids playing.
