What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained sites, and a private, quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. Many appreciated the clean facilities and helpful camp host, Rick, who enhances the experience. While some sites may be smaller than advertised and noise from nearby roads and dispersed campers can be an issue, the overall beauty and accessibility to trails and nearby lakes make it a worthwhile destination.

The views from this campground are stunning. Easy access to the lakes on Mt. Elbert and the trails. Very clean vault toilets and campground. We will come back next summer.

Beautiful part of Colorado!!! The campground is ok... We stayed in site 7 in loop D. It is a terrible uphill back in. It said it would fit our 30' 5th wheel but we BARELY fit and I was backed in as far back as I could. The BBQ grill was entirely too close to the fire pit. It was by no means a perfect site, but we still enjoyed our camping weekend.

Bathrooms were spotless. Campground had plenty of kindling around to easily start campfires! Very quiet in the evenings!

we have been going to Lakeview now for 5 years now. every year the water is not working. now the rates keep going up and still no water.
Having a campfire is camping. we have to load our own water, or bring from lake to make sure everyone is responsible to put out fires. I believe for $30 a night the campsite should supply water.
inexcusable for the cost of a site without water.

The site was super pretty with amazing views. Restrooms were very clean. Short drive down to Twin Lakes where we spent time at a beach and swam in the (beautiful) lake. The site is only a few minutes away from the Mt. Elbert trailhead which is very nice if you are looking for a 14er.
