What Guests Are Saying
Silver Dollar Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, shaded sites and easy access to hiking and the lake, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts are generally friendly and maintain clean facilities, enhancing the overall experience. However, some guests reported issues with site suitability for larger rigs and negative interactions with certain camp hosts, which slightly detracted from their stay.

The campground is a quick walk to Turquoise Lake. We could easily carry all our fishing gear and a cooler. Lots of easy hiking and biking trails as well. Our campsite was fantastic but quite a few campsites are pretty close and on top of each other. Bathrooms were cleaned every day. Definitely will be back again!

Problems with the restrooms arose after campground guests attempted to neutralize the smell. Signs are present but it needs to be clear not to add anything to the pit toilets including commercially available scented products. This resulted in a VERY strong ammonia smell that was worrisome and even caused some nausea after being exposed. (2 star reason): Campground host wasn't as available to guests for campfire wood, restroom concerns etc..
The campground itself was excellent and lacked mosquitoes even being next to the pond. Water issues were worked out, thankfully. Lake was really low, that's distressing to see. Trails need to be marked more clearly.

No visit from camp host. Didn't get park permit, update on regulations or restrictions.

This campground is not level with turquoise lake. You have to drive down to the lake. The campsite I was at was extremely close the next campsite. (37) Our fire pits must have been 20ft from each other. Besides that, all sites are truly in the forest, large/tall trees everywhere.

Campsites are very clean as are the latrines. Most sites are nicely wooded and roomy. Kudos to Trudy, our campground host!

Clean campgrounds.
Weekdays less people makes it more enjoyable due to less noise at night.
