What Guests Are Saying
Silver Dollar Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, shaded sites and easy access to hiking and the lake, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts are generally friendly and maintain clean facilities, enhancing the overall experience. However, some guests reported issues with site suitability for larger rigs and negative interactions with certain camp hosts, which slightly detracted from their stay.

Beautiful area, Great Camp Hosts and very clean. But water in lake was down and there were many burned out areas in the campground...so sad.

Our campsite was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The back in site (24) was actually longer than advertised so plenty of length for our 18ft camper plus truck. There is a short walk to Turquoise lake which we took advantage of every day. Nice place to relax, read a book, enjoy the view of the lake framed by Mt. Massive in the background. Be aware, like most nat. forest campsites, the campsite is not level to camper standards. Be sure you bring your leveling blocks.

Clean restroom. Plenty of space at our spot. 10-15 min walk to the waterfront.

What a great campground! The sites were nicely spaced and large enough to offer some privacy. David, the camp host, was welcoming, and the bathrooms were well maintained. We will definitely stay there again.

It was horrible! We had an entire fraternity next to us all in one camp site, we could smell the bathrooms from where we were supposed to stay. We hung out for about 15 min and decided to go where we had cell service to look for other options. Called the number listed to try and get a refund and the automated message said they have nothing to do with refunds or campsite conditions. Really too bad that such a nice location is treated like S**T. won't be going back unless I feel like fishing on my way by.

This area is beautiful, but the only guidance for trails and amenities was located on a wooden sign on the side of the road. We did not hike the nature trail, but it seems as though it winded around the entire area. The waterfront was nice. I wish it was a bit closer to this campground. One ladies room for our whole loop. The picnic table for the next campsite was located extremely close to our picnic table, so even though we did not camp close together, meals felt a bit too "communal". We left early because the campers next to us were a very large group and loud.

Lovely setting, Site 33 near toilets but upwind. There was a lot of foot traffic to toilet which allerted my dog. Hiking was wonderful and mountain biking trails were easily followed. Nice setting.
