What Guests Are Saying
Silver Dollar Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, shaded sites and easy access to hiking and the lake, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts are generally friendly and maintain clean facilities, enhancing the overall experience. However, some guests reported issues with site suitability for larger rigs and negative interactions with certain camp hosts, which slightly detracted from their stay.

No complaints about the campground. Beautiful forest and very well maintained toilets. Furthest point is still only about 1/4-mile to Turquoise Lake. When we stayed, despite the campground being completely reserved, it was less than half full - folks stayed away due to weather and smoky air concerns. I will say, if the campground is actually full, the sites on the inside of the loops are pretty close together in some cases and won't have much privacy, the sites on the outside of the loop were much larger and spaced apart, that's my only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Water was only available at the campground entrance, the spigots at each toilet aren't functioning. But it's a small enough campground that it was very little inconvenience.

Very nice place - very clean - good spacing between sites - close to great hiking and close to town for nice dinner.
Trudy the caretaker is very friendly and efficient. She was helpful and sincere.
I'll stay here again next time I'm in the area.

Enjoyed the addition of mountain bike and hiking trails in the area. The camp host was one of the best we've encountered. She was very conscientious and responsive, stopping by soon after we arrived to provide information about the campground and the local area.

Nice campground with large spread out campsites. Water is available. Trudy (the host) is very helpful.

Our Campground Host Trudy was super communicative and super sweet ... Hosts like Trudy who are awesome like her can make a real difference in a getaway and she did ... Only wish one thing regarding the property and that's that there was a clear path from Silver Dollar Campground to Turquoise Lake as Silver Dollar is not directly on the lake.

Best hostess ever! Trudy goes beyond to help people and her communication is excellent. She contacted us via text message a few days before our arrival and had us drive into the campground the opposite way in order for us to be able to park our pop up trailer with ease. She also escorted us out ( the opposite way) to make it super easy on our departure. The bathrooms were spick and span! The entire campground was super clean! A most excellent experience. She’s a “keeper!”

I wish there had been one bathroom with a sink on the premises. I didn't have a good way to brush my teeth or empty my menstrual cup. I also wish the tent and RV campsites were separate as the RV generators were noisy at night. Other then that, the site was beautiful and clean.

Never sure why everyone likes Molly Brown better, this camp is amazing. So fun for kids to mountain bike from here to the lake, etc. We had the best spot this year! Hint, aim for a spot on the outside of the circle.
