What Guests Are Saying
Silver Dollar Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, shaded sites and easy access to hiking and the lake, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts are generally friendly and maintain clean facilities, enhancing the overall experience. However, some guests reported issues with site suitability for larger rigs and negative interactions with certain camp hosts, which slightly detracted from their stay.

Beautiful campground, very close to the water, far enough from the town but still easy to access all amenities in the area. We used it as a launching site for our climb of Mt. Elbert and it was perfect. Very clean facilities, friendly host, overall great location.

Beautiful campground. Lots of trees. Very quiet. Very clean. The campsites that are not right next to the lake are spread out nicely (we had #43) so you don't have anyone on top of you. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. The vault toilets were very clean and didn't smell at all. We would highly recommend this campground and hope to return.

Space 18 you have to drive in opposite the one way. Once in there nice camp spot, walking distance to the lake.

The camp host (Trudy) was very informative and nice and the camp site was clean as were the toilets.
The only problem was the water source was down and we had to walk farther to get water

Silver Dollar is a beautiful campground. The campground host maintains it extremely well and is very personable. She has several tips on what to do in the area. The only reason I did not give an excellent rating was the fact that for the 2nd year there has been no water available. I understand that there are some plumbing repairs that need to be made. Hopefully, the issue will be fixed sooner, rather than later. Still, the area is a beautiful to relax and explore.
