It was full so we ended up with a pull through. Since we have a campervan, it was not the best. I did like the shady spots and being so close to the water

Reservations were clearly marked! Beautiful area near the Colorado and Continental divide trails. Level spots for our campervan. Good space between camp spots

LOVED this campsite! Great views and everyone in the area was very polite and quiet. Bathrooms were clean and a short walk from camp. No bear box but you can store items in your car responsibly. We used a 4-person tent and found a decently level spot large enough off to the left. Plenty of room for more if needed.

Very secluded space. Our site even had a bridge with a little water stream running underneath. Very close to the lake as well.

I liked that the campsites were spaced apart. We enjoyed our hike to the general store as well as to the old hotel.

Really nice and peaceful campground. Would heavily recommend! The site we were at had about 10 stairs to get to the area but then you had a great view of the water and mountains around you. I would stay at this spot again in the future. Not too many bugs but if you hate them like me then wear bug spray. You can walk down to the lake in the evening and have a really peaceful time.

Campground was in a great spot (we were #54). Very close to Twin Lakes. Camp host was fantastic and definitely one of the cleanest vault toilets I’ve ever seen.

We absolutely loved our stay at White Star. The campground was lovely. And, it was close to hiking trails, the lake and the town of Twin Lakes. While we were there, there was a convenient shuttle bus running to Leadville too. The most remarkable thing was that I accidentally left my ebike battery on the bumper of my van when I left and it fell off on the road. I realized the next day and was able to contact rec.gov and they contacted the camp host. Someone had turned in my battery and I was able to retrieve it!!! A $400 accident! I’m so grateful to White Star!💖💖💖🙏🏼

right and go west 5.5 miles on Highway 82, turn left into the White Star Campground.

General
- Please note that the Ridge Loop is entirely First Come First Served and has 16 campsites.
- THE RV DUMP STATION AT WHITE STAR IS CLOSED!
- Two (2) vehicles are included with each campsite reservation. RVs and their tow vehicle, as well as vehicles towing camper trailers, are considered one vehicle when they arrive as a single unit. Vehicles beyond that would be subject to the additional vehicle fee ($11.00/night) collected at the campground upon arrival. Boat/ATV trailers are considered an additional vehicle and will be charged the extra vehicle fee per night. Please note that all vehicles must fit in the parking spur. Please no parking on the grass.
- Maximum of 8 people are permitted to occupy 1 site.
- 3 tent maximum per site, or 1 RV and 2 tents
- Dogs, including service and therapy dogs, must be leashed at all times
- Generators may not be operated after , CPAP machines and other medcial equipment are not exempt
- Be bear aware. Do not leave any food unattended at your site. Lock inside your vehicle or RV
- OHVs, ATVs, and dirt bakes are not permitted to operate in any campground
- Firearms and fireworks are not permitted
- This is a high elevation facility, please use caution when traveling from lower elevations
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
