The campground has a paved road so bike riding is easy for the kids. Exploring Camp Hale and its history is fun. We hiked the abandoned railroad tunnel under Tennessee Pass, which was a different kind of hike. Great trails, including the Colorado Trail a close by.

The campsite is very nice. The pit/vault toilets were clean and stocked. Having potable water at the campground would be a HUGE benefit. Everything else was great.

Nice campground with lots of recreational opportunities in the area. Enjoyed hiking to Missouri Lakes and also hiking on the Cross Creek Trail. Seems to be no maintenance to the roads in Camp Hale. Since it became a National Monument no improvements have been made. Disappointing, but still a great area to visit.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Facility is looking better after they had to take out a lot of dead trees several years ago. Entire valley is beautiful and green. Many Beaver dams along the Eagle River and Resolution Creek. Weather was hot and no campfires but the air was smoke free (nearby Willow fire) for 4 out of our 6 day stay.

Located 15 miles south of the town of Minturn, Colorado on Hwy 24.
Take I-70 east from Grand Junction, Colorado, approximately 135 miles. Take exit 171 toward US-24 E. Keep right and follow signs for Minturn/Leadville, merging onto US-24 E. After 17 miles, take a slight left onto 10th Mountain Div Memorial Hwy. Take first left into Camp Hale.
From Denver: Take 1-70 west approximately 90 miles. Take exit 171 toward US-24 E. Keep right and follow signs for Minturn/Leadville, merging onto US-24 E. After 17 miles, take a slight left onto 10th Mountain Div Memorial Hwy. Take first left into Camp Hale.
Camp Hale Memorial is accessible via US-24, which is reached by taking exit 171 off I-70. It is located approximately 15 miles south of Minturn on Hwy 24.

General
- Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- OHV'S allowed in campground to drive in and at out only. Speed 10 MPH
- Water is not available at this campground
- Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground
- All food, beverages, trash and scented items must be properly stored when not attended. Bear-proof food lockers are provided at each site and bear-proof trash receptacles are provided at the campground.
- Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.

- Any accepted senior passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.
- Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This prevents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on Saturday.
- Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day.
- It is imperative that you are clear from the site on your check out day so the host can come prepare the site for the next event. Please don't be the group that makes the incoming group have to wait.
