Excellent campsites well laid out and private and the bathrooms were clean. Never saw or met the campsite host while we were there for our three night stay. The host campsite looked like a homeless encampment, complete with the blue tarp over a leaky tent and old tire/wheel laying against a tree and junk/trash laying about. Does not exactly set a good example for a neat campground, but the rest of the campground was very clean. We will definitely return. Ate in nearby Minturn at Rocky Tacos-excellent. Also hiked nearby trails which are all really nice and took in the vibe of the Camp Hale ruins. A true gem in the Rocky Mountains.

We discovered this campground 2 years ago. What a hidden gem. Our site was long and somewhat shaded. If there's a downfall it would be no water available. We brought plenty so it wasn't an issue. Host was friendly, and kept the campground clean.

This is a lovely little campground. Nicely spaced sites. You can hear some highway noise but other than that it's great. Close to so many wonderful places to recreate!

This campground has very large campsites that are spaced nicely apart. The restrooms were very clean. The nearby exhibits at the former Camp Hale are informative and a trailhead to Segment 8 of the Colorado Trail is nearby. Segment 8 is a beautiful stretch of the CT!
