What Guests Are Saying
Gore Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting near the creek, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms. Many guests appreciate the convenient access to Vail and nearby hiking and biking trails. However, some reviewers noted issues with noise from I-70 and the lack of water and campfires, alongside occasional challenges with campground management and site reservations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers seeking a serene experience close to outdoor activities.

Fantastic campsite and a very nice campground host who was accommodating and friendly.
The location is close to the highway, but feels very quiet and isolated.

A beautiful campground that is close to Vail but you still feel like you are out in the woods! The bathrooms were very very clean. Lots of space between campsites!

One of the best camping experiences we have ever had. Camp host was awesome. Fells so remote even though it is less than 5 minutes from a quickie mart if anything is needed.
So quiet too even though it looks close to the interstate. All we could hear was the stream at night.

Great looking sites, close to major trailheads. Camp sites are well spaced and not too close to each other. Hosts are helpful and friendly. Will be going there again.

The hosts were the friendlyess and most ambitious that we have ever encountered. The toilets were immaculate and the campsites were the best groomed that we have seen. Thank you for your service.

Site 9. Beautiful pine trees. Very clean vault toilets, well-spaced sites. Creek makes lots of white noise to dampen noise from other campers and highway. However, it was difficult to find a level, smooth location for our large (10x17) family tent, so we ended up on a slight slope with some bumps under. Also the creek was down a very steep 15' embankment and hard to access. It was flowing fast and cold so our kids couldn't play in it. It seemed like only sites 10 and 13 might have creek visibility from their sites. Although site 9 was right next to the creek, we couldn't see it from our campsite due to the steep embankment. Not a great campground for kids, better for adults and maybe RVs instead of tents.
