What Guests Are Saying
Gore Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting near the creek, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms. Many guests appreciate the convenient access to Vail and nearby hiking and biking trails. However, some reviewers noted issues with noise from I-70 and the lack of water and campfires, alongside occasional challenges with campground management and site reservations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers seeking a serene experience close to outdoor activities.

Really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful campground. The sound of the water rushing by Gore Creek is wonderful!

No camp host. First time that’s ever happened. Had a couple of guys pull in at midnight and where partying and walking through our/people’s sites. We love Gore creek and have stayed multiple times. Not sure we will go back now

My camping was purely perfunctory, as a place to stay while I worked a freelance job. The highway is ever-present, so it isn't a "woodsy" experience (except for the bear!) I have stayed here quite a bit every summer for the past few years. This year, the attention to cleanliness was exceptional! And the host was super-friendly. Thank you!

Nice campground but close enough to I-70 to hear the traffic. Easy access to bike trail that runs along i-70. Vault toilets, nice.

Campground is great and within a short drive to Vail and Lionshead for additional activities. Site 24 is a little tight if you have a large group, but the campground overall is extremely private and peaceful. We thought you'd be able to hear I-70 but not at all!

Very much appreciated the tent pad with material that was easy to pound in tent stakes. Most FS campgrounds don't have tent pads, or sometimes the tent material is compacted gravel that is not easy to drive in stakes.
