Loved our 4 night stay at Gore Creek Campground. It was so quiet and peaceful. The campsite was quite large and could easily fit 2 tents and a camper van. The bathrooms (pit toilets) were spotless and cleaned every day. I only wish there were showers and a source of water. For a hot shower we drove to Avon Recreation Center (about 20 minutes away). We bought bottled water at Walmart.

This is a lovely campground, especially nice since it is so close to Vail. There were many restrooms, and all were clean and tidy every day. We were alerted to what we assumed was a low water situation, so we filled our trailer water reservoir before arriving as recommended on the website, but were then surprised to learn that these is/was no water at all available in the campground. This clarification would have been helpful to know prior to arriving.

Vault toilets very well stocked and maintained. Spent two nights in Site #2. Easy in/out. Close to toilet. No odor problems. Table area not quite level. Two nights at Site #4. Easy in/out. Picnic table area larger and level. Camp host very helpful and was easy to find. It was very helpful to stay in Vail for the Bravo Music Festival instead of having to drive over the pass from/to Peak One in Frisco. Will return next year.

We had a great stay. Clean campground and very friendly camp host. The water was low enough kids could splash in the creek.

Lovely campground right by Vail. My site (8) was spacious and quiet with view of only one other site. Will definitely stay here again.

Very unexpected lovely campground because it’s so close to I 70. We really enjoyed it. Can only hear the highway went really loud big rigs go through, otherwise you hear the river all night which is wonderful. Cleanest vault toilets anywhere!

Stayed at Site 8, which is one of the most inside spots. The site was private and spacious, and close to the creek. There was some road noise but diminished a lot at night. The bathroom was very clean and the host was friendly. The location is very good (close to Vail and trails).
