Gore Creek Campground

This was a beautiful site and we enjoyed the access to Vail. But it was so close to the road there was constant noise. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and the site was well taken care of.

We stayed in two different sites and both were great. The ground was level for a tent. Easy access to the picnic tables. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. The Gore Creek River Trail was close and beautiful to walk on. You can see trout swimming in the River!

The sites are nicely spaced out, the restrooms are clean, the camp host is super helpful, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. What more could you want?

The campsite have probably some of the finest dirt I have ever experienced in all many years of camping. It’s almost like talc, but dirt. Make sure you take a ground cloth of some sort to be able to walk on, and plenty of water as there is no water at the site.

Just merely cooking breakfast, my hands became quite filthy. And would minimal water and no ground cloth to walk on everything that came filthy very quickly.

Other than that, the pit toilets were extremely pleasant, and the camp host was nice.

Ideally, the Park service should come in with some aggregate or coarse sand for the sites with a larger diameter than what is currently there.

The campground is very convenient, but the trade-off is that you can hear the traffic from I25. The bathrooms are always impeccable, and I sleep well. I wish the upper road to the tent sites was in better shape.

Camp host was great. Cleanest bathrooms and campsites. Good location for biking the Vail pass, hiking or taking the free bus into Vail.

Very wooded and quiet. Toilets were super clean

We had a wonderful stay at this campground. There is some good space between the tent only sites, which is nice. Sites are very clean and cared for.

Very convenient location, superbly clean, the spots by the river are beautiful! Would stay again!
