What Guests Are Saying
Gore Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting near the creek, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms. Many guests appreciate the convenient access to Vail and nearby hiking and biking trails. However, some reviewers noted issues with noise from I-70 and the lack of water and campfires, alongside occasional challenges with campground management and site reservations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers seeking a serene experience close to outdoor activities.

Great small campground with no hookups. Wooded and nicely kept. Restrooms very clean. Profusion of wildflowers right outside my camper door. Deluge Lake hike, right from the campground, is spectacular. Very nice hosts.

Very, well-kept campground! I stayed here one night and it’s surprising how close it is to I-70 yet how secluded it felt. Would stay here again!

Really nice campground, impeccably clean and our site felt very private. Peaceful except for the noise from I-70 at night which can be a bit disruptive (this is probably worse than usual due to the construction works which is no fault of the campground). Great base for hiking/biking, and spectacular scenery.

We had a site that backed up to the river and was beautiful. Right by great hikes and the paved bike trail.
Easy access to Vail and the host was very helpful getting firewood.
We had a great time!

Beautiful area. Gore Creek running by the campground. No amenities. Roads a little rough but OK. Trees low enough that my solar panels worked and my Starlink worked.

My low rating has to do with the system for reservations. So many people cancel after booking there 6 months ahead and there are no notifications that let me know a spot has opened up. So, you have to keep checking over and over only to miss out because someone else beat you to it.

Campground bathrooms were clean and sites well spaced. Some had quite a bit of direct sun but overall it is a nice campground

A nice little campground by the creek. It says they sell firewood at the camp but they weren't when we went at the end of July. You can get wood at the local grocery stores though. We had a nice time at here and it's pretty close to some nice trails and little towns.
