Our host Joe was wonderful! We had never seen the bathrooms that clean or the trash removed so quickly in all the years our group have been coming to Gore Creek.
The bear restrictions with no one allowed to have anything other than hard sided campers was not necessary. The restriction lasted much longer than necessary too because the bear hadn’t been sighted for weeks. Several people in our group were not allowed to join us as a result. This was very unfortunate!
It is a beautiful campground and a great place to be enjoy Colorado!

We stayed only one night. The host met us immediately at arrival to inform us of bears and fire restrictions. Bathroom was impeccable for cleanliness and odors.

Not only was the Gore Creek Campground stunning, the campground host was amazing. He kept the place spotless. Those were the cleanest I've seen. Excellent job to that man!

Great campground and location. Close to Vail and the bike & hiking trails. Bathrooms were very clean. Great shade. Sites next to the creek are awesome. Friendly and helpful camp host.

I had no idea that they would ban camping in a campground. No notification, nothing. Just caught it on Facebook. Sorry but Irving is not camping. Hiking in with a back pack is camping. So dissatisfied with this experience, I want my money back. Furthermore no safe place to stay when thru Hiking, packing. This is a you problem.

Getting There
Travel east on I-70 to Exit 180 for East Vail. Turn right and follow the south frontage road (Bighorn Road) east to the road closure gate at about 2 mi. The campground is on the left just before the gate.
