What Guests Are Saying
Gore Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting near the creek, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms. Many guests appreciate the convenient access to Vail and nearby hiking and biking trails. However, some reviewers noted issues with noise from I-70 and the lack of water and campfires, alongside occasional challenges with campground management and site reservations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers seeking a serene experience close to outdoor activities.

Beautiful campsite. Site 16 is by the creek and the noise of the creek is really relaxing. Toilet is really clean. Convenient to get into Vail. Definitely planning on coming back.

We were driving cross country so didn’t really have time to hang out, but the campground was beautiful, quiet, well maintained and easy to access. Would love to come back some time when we can stay longer.

We loved our stay at Gore Creek Campground! We stayed in site 13, which was right by the river, and a delightful place to set up camp. We hung our hammocks in the trees by the river and had the pleasant sound of rushing water throughout the night, which masked any traffic noise from I-70. We enjoyed a talk from a local park ranger, a campfire in our site's fire ring, and overall very peaceful and quiet conditions throughout the camp. We can't wait to come back!

There is a lot of Freeway noise at this campground - the most I've ever experienced. That being said, the sites along the creek are not so bad because the noise of the creek drowns out the freeway noise as well as any noise from other campers. Everything was clean and well kept. Very nice to have bear boxes. Hiking and biking right from the campground was great.

Beautiful spot. A bit of a walk (<5mim) from the lot to the site, but it's worth it. Tent pad, table, fire ring, and bear box were clean and in good working order.

Campsite was easily long enough for our 27' motor home but it was at a very severe angle. It did not feel safe for our rig and was not good for our propane cooled fridge.
Otherwise, the setting was very nice and private.
