What Guests Are Saying
Gore Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting near the creek, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere with well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean bathrooms. Many guests appreciate the convenient access to Vail and nearby hiking and biking trails. However, some reviewers noted issues with noise from I-70 and the lack of water and campfires, alongside occasional challenges with campground management and site reservations. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers seeking a serene experience close to outdoor activities.

Although there is no water available, it is a really nice campground. Beautiful area. Sites are spaced nicely with space between. A beautiful creek runs through the area. Just be sure you bring water.

Visited Gore Creek twice this year, once in July and once in September. Both times at the same tent-only spot in the upper loop. Gore Creek is very accessible from I-70 but feels remote. The hiking is rich with wildflowers in late Summer and filled with yellow aspen in the Fall. The bathrooms are kept tidy and the distance between camps makes each site feel pretty private. Highly recommend!

A little gem! Small campground on a beautiful river. Basically dry camping but provided clean pit toilets and potable water. The camp host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We hiked from the campsite. Not Real easy to find per provided directions.

My 3 sons and I had a great experience. The only complaint I had, was that the website makes it sound like all the campsites are ready for tents. When I got to the site it was covered in tall grass that made it difficult to set up my tent. For the price to rent the site I would have expected and levelled, clean area for the tent.
Other than that, everything was clean and we had a great time camping and exploring.

Great hosts, clean campsite that wasn't too close to other campers, nice bathroom facilities. Will stay at again.
