This is one of the best campgrounds I’ve been to! There are waterfront spots. Bathrooms are always very clean and there always seems to be drinking water. Very close to many of granny’s best hikes.

We had a great time here at roaring fork campground. Campsite number 66 was awesome. It was on a ridge with some privacy and great views. There is not really shade here because the trees in the area are still young. We had pleasant interactions with the host. Drinking water, firewood, and vault toilets available. I recommend hiking the trails in the area (see the US forest service map of the trails) and visiting Monarch Lake. Great trout fishing also in the area.

Always our favorite camping spot to go to. Sights are well spaced out. Clean bathrooms. Great for water sports with lake right there!

We go every year. We love camping on Lake Granby. It use to be easy to reserve a spot, now we have to plan 6 months in advance to get the site we want. But it’s worth it. Beautiful area. Moose, eagles and osprey a-plenty. Storms move in and out on summer afternoons. Cold mornings
, warm/hot afternoons

No one else should come, it needs to stay available for us. :) Monarch lake is the main draw for us as it is beautiful. We missed the nice friendly rangers(?) in the front hut at Monarch.
