We loved camping at Dowdy Lake. Our site was perfect in regard to distance to the lake front, other campers, etc. The lake is gorgeous and we cannot wait to go back next year.

While this is a beautiful site, nice and clean as most reviews say, our personal experience was ruined by our immediate neighbors loudly partying until well after midnight. The camp host did nothing to shut it down, so we got very little sleep. As you'd expect, the sounds of families with kids starts pretty early in the morning.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
