Went on a weeknight. Was an awesome setting. A little close to other lots but we didn’t have a problem because the people around us didn’t show up. But could see how it would feel crowded on the weekends.

Good location directly at the lake. Nice and well-maintained camp sites. The showers and toilets are old and were not always clean.

Beautiful view of the lake. Little tree coverage with a lot of camp spots very close together. Our host was very nice, but the host for the 100+ campsites was so rude. We tried to spot FF sites for the second part of our trip and she basically stopped and told us to go unload at our dock because we had boards on the top of the car. We didn’t even ask for her help. Was very turned off, so we left the campsite the next day and went somewhere else for FF on the way back through.

Site was excellent with electricity and water available and view was great of the lake and area surrounding the lake.
Camp Host was friendly and answered all my questions.

The location of the campground is absolutely beautiful. On a hillside overlooking Lake Granby and mountains. Couldn't be better. Unfortunately, the description of the campsites on the web leaves a lot to be desired. Our site, C095, was listed as being able to accommodate a 40-foot RV. It didn't mention that the site is nowhere near level, curves awkwardly, so that we could not position our trailer except JUST into the site, and could not actually pull-through without severely dragging the back end of our trailer, due to the unfortunate upward hill on the pull-out end of the site. After pulling in and discovering we couldn't get far enough into the site to position the trailer correctly, it took 45 minutes of maneuvering to back out, and then had to drive back in over the grass, leaving the door to our trailer about 2 feet from the edge of the road.
We talked with other people in this campground who had similar experiences - sites listed as 40 feet, but would barely fit 30 foot trailer, trucks having to park sideways into the road in front of their trailers, etc.
The showers are located in a couple of the bathrooms, and most were out-of-order. The few that we found were working were not clean.
All that said, the camp hosts in our loop C were awesome - working very hard to chop up, dig out, and spray weeds, as well as removing remnants of burned logs from the fire pits, filling us in on local attractions, etc. Thank you to Tim and LuAnne!
In Grand Lake, we highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre company on Grand Avenue in town. Wonderful productions, excellent casts. We saw "Beautiful" and loved it.
