Friendly and helpful host Karen had our spot clean and even raked! It was like a zen garden. We hiked in to check out the creek and cabins with our kids and even had a small snow ball fight with the left over snow in the shady spots. Great quick get away from Denver.

There is not enough good things we can say about this last trip. We have been up to West Chicago Creek multiple times. It never disappoints. The campsites were clean as were the restrooms

The camp host was very nice and the place was well kept. Although the road leading to the campground could use some work several large holes and boulders to maneuver around.

Highway access
West Chicago Creek is accessible via US Highway 6, approximately 10 miles to the north, and Interstate 70, roughly 15 miles to the west.
Policies & Rules
Utilities
- Guests must bring their own water as the well is not functioning and RV connections are unavailable.
Site capacity
- There are limited sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Guests must remain on their reserved site; site swapping is not permitted.
- Tents must be placed on designated pads; RVs and trailers must use the parking spur, with no off-road parking allowed.
Wildlife & food storage
- Keep your campsite clean and do not store food in your tent to ensure safety from bears.

- This is a busy place and site swapping is not allowed.

- Off-highway vehicles (OHVs) are not permitted in the campground as there are no trails available.
Fires & fuel
- To protect the environment, do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site.
- Campfires and charcoal fires may be prohibited during hot, dry weather due to fire restrictions.
Fees & deposits
- An extra vehicle fee of $8.00 per night applies for additional vehicles beyond the first included vehicle.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation modifications must be done through Recreation.gov before your arrival; changes cannot be made after check-in.
