The camp host was very nice and the place was well kept. Although the road leading to the campground could use some work several large holes and boulders to maneuver around.

Everything was great except the road. On the way to camp, the roads were bad. They need a patch up a little. Other then that it was very peasant!

Nice campground, not very large so it was nice and quiet. Campground manager was very attentive. Nice overflow parking lot at the end of the campground and easy access to trail head. It was also nice to close to Idaho Springs to go soak in the hot springs.

Beautiful, peaceful campground off the beaten track. Lots of trees, views of snow-covered mountain peaks and of course West Chicago Creek nearby provided a nice background. Our site was level with plenty of room between us and other sites; picnic table and fire ring at our site were both in very good condition. Bathrooms (pit toilets) were kept very clean by the host. Close to hiking trails. There was no water available for drinking or doing dishes but we were notified of that in advance.
The dirt road to get there was rough in spots with a couple of serious switchbacks. We camped with a little teardrop trailer pulled by a 4Runner which was not a problem for us, just something to keep in mind.
