What Guests Are Saying
O'Haver Lake offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with stunning scenery and well-maintained sites, making it a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts receive high praise for their friendliness and cleanliness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, issues such as limited water availability, noisy generators, and overcrowding during peak times detract from the experience, suggesting the need for improved management and facilities.

Small enough that is is quiet. Weekends have more families, which is great. We love to take our inflatable two man kayak and jump in anytime to take a ride or fish. Lovely hiking directly out of the camp ground.

We lucked into this spot when nothing else was available on short notice and are so thankful we did - #12, a double site, was perfect for our group of two small families, as it's on the far end of the lake without any immediate neighbors. We only wish the tent pad were larger, as it was hard to squeeze two 4-person tents in between the picnic tables and fire pits (though this was easily overlooked as we woke up to the sun glinting on the peaceful lake). In our experience, the campground was very clean and we had no issues with other campers.

Been going here for years and always loved it. I just spent 8 days camping so I got a good sample size of how it is now. It seems folks either don't know camping etiquette/straight up rules or don't care. Power generators running night and day, kids screaming at 7AM, day trippers walking straight through your camp. Unreal. I cannot understand why one would go to such a serene place and cause so much disruption. Go to a state park or 100-site campground. The hosts don't stand a chance. They are friendly and took good care of the campground. What a shame.

It can get a little busy but not obnoxious, mostly a peaceful and enjoyable experience.

If reservations are not available, some campsites are first come-first served, also called "Walk-up" sites. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the SAME NIGHT they are paid for. These sites usually fill Friday evenings and through the weekends. Due to the remote nature of campgrounds, calling to check availability prior to arrival is not possible. |
